ABOUT ME
I'm Daniella Hellgren, a self-taught face and body painter based in Malmö, with a background in arts, image, and design. Creating vibrant artwork using fluorescent colors is not just my passion, but also my hobby. As a vegan, I prioritize cruelty-free materials and exclusively work with products that are certified as vegan.
In my creations, I utilize water-based colors from trusted brands such as Cameleon, Kryvaline, Diamond Fx, Tag Body Art, and Fusion Body Art.
My journey into facepainting began in 2006 when I painted two individuals as melancholic clowns for a school assignment in photographic studies. What started as a playful effort soon evolved into a passion as I began painting myself for various masquerade contests, earning the title of best costume at a local club in Kristianstad, Sweden, three years consecutively.
In October 2011, I introduced vibrant neon colors into my artistic range, a decision I've cherished ever since. As interest in my artwork grew among friends, I launched the Facebook page "Himmelopannkaka Facepaint" in 2014. Venturing into the realm of raves, I brought my facepainting kit to the dancefloor, painting willing participants with my designs.
In October 2017, I received my first official booking from Studio 27, marking a crucial moment in my career. By January 2018, I made the decision to exclusively utilize water-based fluorescent colors in my work, further refining my craft.
